Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge

Yes, I have joined Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge!

Even though I am not new to many of the things needed to get started in Internet Marketing, I know there is always more to learn.

Oh, and by the way, just in case this might help someone out, I have another site that is a free video training site all about installing and configuring WordPress. You can find it by clicking HERE.
http://5daymarketingchallengesite.com
This is exactly what we do to build our sites and our client’s sites and get them ranking high in the searches. Let me know if you have any questions. This is MY site. I’m not sending you to someone else’s site.

It was Dean Holland’s first ebook “Blog setup guide” that helped get me “un stuck” with some technical issues way back when he first got started. I’ll never forget the fact that when I had a question in one of his previous programs he actually picked up the phone and called me personally from “across the pond” as they say!!

I’m finally getting back on track after a couple of years of distractions (none that are worth going into here) and I’m ready to follow in Dean’s footsteps to achieve even half the success he has!!

I think we have both learned a lot over the last couple of years and I wish I had stayed on track with Dean before but you can NEVER “should a” so I’m taking off from here and come hell or high water this time I’m sticking with it to the end and beyond! You have my word on that!

I know just making that commitment here in writing on my blog is huge. Now I have to do it no matter what or I’ll lose face.

So I’ve come around full circle…………

Back to where I should have stayed focused on before. I take full responsibility for where I am and MORE importantly for where I’m GOING!

Unfortunately I had to hit a brick wall first.

BUT, Now I’m in the right place at the right time with the right mentor!

Time to start over with laser targeted focus and follow exactly what Dean

teaches as “the proof is in the pudding” as they say and Dean knows how

to make some pretty darned great “pudding.”

So, I’m going to be following his steps all the way until I create that same great “pudding!”

And if I can be of any help to others that are just getting started with all the skills and knowledge I’ve learned I will be eager to do so just as Dean has all along his path to success.

I wish everyone in the Quick Start Challenge all the best with this training and the one BIG piece of advice I can give is STAY FOCUSED and NEVER GIVE UP!

DON’T let anything STOP you from your SUCCESS! I know I won’t!

Cheers!

    Hi Sally,

Nice website you have here. I am also part of the challenge and like you I seem to have stuttered along the way.

I’m sure with Dean’s guidance and your determination shown in this post that you can stay on track and be a success online.

    Best wishes

    Paul

    Hi Sally,

Great post you’ve got here! It reveals to me how much experience you may have down your sleeves.

I can relate so well with your post; that is, being bogged down at a certain point in life and looking back, wishing I have persisted. The “what-if” feeling. Nothing is wasted though… only lessons learned and now it’s time to move on.

    Cheers!

    Hi Sally,
I am an QSCer as well. The fact that Dean cared enough to ring you says a lot about him and the fact that he really cares. Thanks for sharing.

This time I really sense your determination. I’ve bookmarked your site to watch how things develop

    regards

    Mark

P.S. There is a technical glitch on your site – I think because the security certificate has expired – initially coming onto the site a plain text version is shown and a warning.

    Hi Sally,

I totally agree with you about focus and never giving up, most especially now that we know who to emulate.

In a month`s time (which is more than 21 days to form a habit), we shall have made significant progress in this challenge.

I look forward to our success. Cheers!

Hello Sally, I am up for Dean’s challenge as well. I am very impressed with this whole coaching and I know we are on the right direction. Good luck and keep us updated with your progress. Chris

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I’ll return the favor.

My progress will be posted today as to my little situation with the SSL cert. expiring for this domain. It’s always interesting.

All the best to you in the challenge!
    Cheers!
    Sally

    Mark,

Thanks so much for stopping by and for pointing out the glitch on the site. Turns out my SSL cert. had expired.
Really don’t need it right now anyway so I just fixed the site. I only bought the SSL cert. because of the changes
with Facebook and offline clients we have built and host pages for. Now I use a different tool and no longer
    require the SSL cert.

Now I’m ready to go crazy with this. LOL

All the best to you in the challenge!
    Cheers!

    Hi Maria,

Yes, 21 days to form a Good habit. Seems like it only takes a nanosecond to create a Bad one! lol

And yes, we shall make great progress during this time.

    Really awesome to meet you.

    All the best,
    Sally

  10. sallycevasco June 18, 2012 at 8:47 am #

    Yes Maria,

It is all experience for sure. I sometimes think I could have learned some of the lessons a little faster though. lol

    I am definitely moving on.

    Hi Sally,

I found your site on the QSC blogroll. I also noticed you go way back with Dean on his deanholland.com blog. I like Dean and he obviously must be a good guy for you to return and seek his guidance. Best wishes to you and keep the focus.

    Rich

  13. sallycevasco June 19, 2012 at 6:54 am #

Yes, Rich, I believe that Dean is one of the few who truly is and wants to help others achieve the same type of success he has.
I wish you all the best too and I promise to stay focused this time!

    Cheers!

    Hey Sally,

Hope the best for you and Dean’s Challenge, if you need anything, I’m always around by my blog, just let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Take care and the best of luck with the QS Challenge!

    Sergio

PS. I’m in product creation mode and completely STUCK in slide recordings. Hopefully Dean can provide some good tips at actually doing stuff.

    Hi Sergio,

Thanks for coming by and commenting on my blog.

I appreciate your offer to help.

What software are you using for your slide recordings?

    What product are you creating?

    Thanks,
    Sally

  21. Sergio Felix June 20, 2012 at 9:47 am #

    Hey Sally,

I’m currently using Camtasia & Powerpoint, have nothing else for that. The product is mainly about branding with a wordpress blog and it’ll have modules on making money with wordpress consulting as well.

    Sergio

    Hi Sally
Hope you are getting the most of of this Quick Start Challenge.

It’s helped to break some personal barriers for me (recording videos) and I’m enjoying jumping into the action and getting things done.

    All the best to you!

  25. Carl Picot June 27, 2012 at 6:42 pm #

    Hi Sally

I also read that eBook by Dean – funny you mentioned it as I had forgotten about it until I read your post. It’s really great that Dean called you up – i am most impressed :)

Glad you got back on track – I guess that many people are in the same boat in that respect – as far as hitting brick walls and getting up again to carry on again.

This is a great blog. I’ll certainly be back for more to see how you are getting on :o)

    Cheers from across the pond

    Thanks Carl.

I really appreciate you stopping by.

Yes, I liked Dean’s first book so much that I actually built a small list giving it away on my blog for a while.

And the fact that he actually called me to help goes a long way and also why I wanted to jump on board with this challenge.

All the best to you and your business.
    Sally

    Hi Dave,

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Videos are one of my most favorite forms of marketing. I really enjoy putting them together.

So, I guess I better get to it, heh?

All the best to you too.
    Thanks,
    Sally

    Hi Sally
Regarding the comment you left on my blog.
The theme I use is flexibility3. I believe if you go to http://www.johnthornhill.com/blog you can get it for free.

    Regards,

    John

  29. sallycevasco July 3, 2012 at 7:02 am #

    Thanks John,

I downloaded it and will play around with it. Was it difficult to configure everything?

I have tons of themes but some are more complicated than others. I usually hand it off to
my VA to do but this one is my personal blog so I thought I’d work on it myself. I can always
hand it off if it takes too much time.

Thanks again for letting me know. I really appreciate it.

    Sally
